Lorell Butterworth has been a part of my children’s education for ten years, since they were 4 years old and remains one of their favorite teachers. Her attention to the individual child and their own special strengths and weaknesses allows her to be a loving, effective educator.

The staff is warm, loving and supportive of a busy family’s needs. My boys are left in caring arms and well educated. We love the family atmosphere that the school promotes through family events. I can stop in whenever and find my son deeply involved in an activity. The teachers are always welcoming and I never feel uncomfortable for stopping by. The school is amazingly clean and professional compared to the neighboring daycare centers. Once I visited this location I knew it was the one.

My son attended Devonshire Preschool from the age of 6 weeks old until he graduated from Kindergarten. During this period of time my son received the best care from loving and nurturing staff. I never had to worry about my son while I was at work because I knew he was in great hands. I would recommend Devonshire Preschool to any parent looking for a child care facility that provides just the right balance of love, warmth and great scholastics.

I have been personally acquainted with Lorell Butterworth for the last several years, and have consistently observed her complete dedication to the causes and issues of childhood education. She has an incredible affinity for children and for opening their eyes and their minds with new challenges and educational endeavors. She herself is a highly intelligent and educated person, having received a Masters in Business from Pepperdine after graduate-level studies at UCLA, and she consistently places a very high value on education, for herself and for all of those whose lives she touches. Based on my familiarity with Lorell Butterworth, I heartily endorse and support her new educational venture, Devonshire Preschool. I can hardly imagine a person I’d rather have running a preschool. My own children are older now, but if they were of preschool age, Ms. Butterworth would be the first person on my list of people I would want to have involved in their education. The woman who now runs Devonshire nursery and preschool seems like one of the most inspired and really decent kind of person I have ever done work for. I have lived in the valley my whole life. She just bought the place and some really terrible persons are trying to smear her character before she even opens. If anyone reads this please go and see her and talk with her and make up your own mind. You will be really impressed with her vision and commitment and how beautiful the place is. I hardly know her and have fallen in love with her energy and spirit. Some people have said some things and it would be a shame if that was done to discredit this lovely woman for some purpose unknown. It just makes me furious. The valley needs more good people like this woman. The children are in good hands there but see for yourself.
